Laser Weapon System

A man-portable, non-kinetic counter-UAV laser gun that dazzles and disables FPV drone optics at 50-500 m with up to 2 kW of continuous-wave power – backpack-powered, air-cooled and validated in live-fire trials with Kopassus.

EGI Laser Weapon System: man-portable counter-UAV laser gun with optical sight and backpack power cable

Overview

Non-kinetic drone defeat at the squad level.

A revolutionary non-kinetic defense platform engineered to neutralise hostile FPV drones with surgical precision. The system delivers continuous-wave laser energy at up to 2 kW, disrupting the drone’s optical sensors for surveillance and aiming without collateral damage.

The weapon is shouldered like a rifle, powered from a separate backpack battery pack and aimed through a 1x-4x optical sight, so operators can comfortably acquire, track and hold moving targets. It protects both military and civilian objects, including in urban areas where kinetic engagement is not an option.

Key benefits

  • Non-kinetic engagement – zero explosive risk
  • Precision targeting from 50 m up to 500 m
  • Dual mode: handheld or tripod-mounted
  • Separate battery pack in backpack format
  • Air-cooled for continuous field operation
  • Integrated multi-layer safety system
  • Instant response against FPV threats

Applications

  • Counter-UAS / anti-drone operations
  • Critical infrastructure protection
  • Military forward operating bases
  • Urban protection of civilian objects
